JLL broadens operations in consumer goods 

JLL has tapped Matt Weko as president of a new consumer goods and services division within its Work Dynamics Americas organization. The division will serve clients in areas that include retail, consumer products, professional services, telecommunications and media and entertainment, Chicago-based JLL said.

Weko has more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience, including 17 years at JLL. He's based in the firm’s New York City office and currently oversees a portfolio spanning 650 million square feet on behalf of more than 50 global and regional clients involved in consumer goods and services. At JLL, he previously held leadership roles in directing accounts and projects. JLL’s Work Dynamics division employs more than 60,000 people worldwide.

Bradford Allen expands New York brokerage services

Mitzi Flexer joined Bradford Allen's New York office as managing director, while the company seeks to expand its nationwide commercial brokerage and consulting services. Flexer joined Chicago-based Bradford Allen from Cushman & Wakefield, where she was a senior director handling leasing and tenant representation.

Flexer will focus on expanding the firm’s presence in New York’s outer boroughs, after more than a decade handling office and retail transactions among other property categories, Bradford Allen said. Her prior international experience includes having represented clients in Europe, Central America and South America. She previously served in leadership roles in organizations such as the Real Estate Board of New York, Brooklyn Retail Committee, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

SRS hirings target industrial property growth

SRS Real Estate Partners tapped new leaders in Phoenix and Southern California in an effort to grow its industrial property operations. Dallas-based SRS said Jeffrey Garza Walker will lead its planned Phoenix expansion as executive vice president and managing principal, and James deRegt was hired as a senior vice president in the firm’s Newport Beach, California, office.

Garza Walker is a 20-year industry veteran who joined SRS after serving as executive managing director at NAI Global. He previously served in a corporate management role at APL Logistics. A 30-year veteran, deRegt, who previously worked at Lee & Associates, will handle SRS' industrial brokerage and investments in Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties, the brokerage said. In addition, SRS added Senior Vice President Anna Sepic and client services associate Brenda Walker, both of whom formerly were with NAI, to the Phoenix office. The firm also hired Senior Vice President Nick Krakower and associate RJ Dumke, both formerly with Lee & Associates.

Marquette taps executives to grow apartment services

Marquette Cos. announced several executive appointments as part of a reorganization of the flagship company and its Marquette Management division. The Naperville, Illinois-based multifamily developer and property manager said Trevor Ryan was named partner and president of Marquette Cos., and Jim Cunningham was appointed partner and president of Marquette Management. Marquette Cos. also hired Jason Tennenbaum as chief financial officer.

Ryan has been at Marquette for more than 20 years and will focus on organizational strategy in the new role as the company seeks to expand its developments and investments nationwide. Cunningham has been with the company since 2011 and will lead management-focused operations, including expanding the use of artificial intelligence and other technologies for customer service, Marquette said. Tenenbaum is a 20-year industry veteran with prior executive roles at Lloyd Jones, CityPads and Winmor Capital Group.

Developer JPI adds economic advisor

Multifamily developer JPI hired Jay Parsons as an economic advisor, as the company seeks to broaden its nationwide services, the Dallas-based company said. Parsons is a veteran industry economist and advisor and joins JPI in a part-time role, advising on economic trends and market dynamics.

His 16 years of industry work includes executive and senior leadership roles at firms such as Madera Residential and RealPage, and he has provided housing policy advice to institutional investors, government agencies, non-profits and real estate investment trusts. He has been cited in several national media outlets and appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg TV. JPI is led by CEO Payton Mayes and provides construction development and management services in markets including Dallas and Southern California.
