A medical center development added needed care in Orange County, California, after it opened in 2023.

MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center opened its roughly three-story, 40,000-square-foot Women's Health Pavilion in November. The healthcare property is located across the street from the main facility at 24451 Health Center Drive in Laguna Hills, California.

The Women's Health Pavilion project was selected by a panel of local industry professionals as worthy of a 2024 CoStar Impact Award.

The development is aimed at providing a comfortable, calming healthcare experience for women. The healthcare property includes the Sarah & Taylor Nederlander Breast Center, which offers technology capable of early detection and diagnosis for breast cancer.

The Women’s Health Pavilion is preparing to offer more services in the future including gynecologic services, oncology care and mental wellness support.

About the project: MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center completed construction on its three-story, 40,000-square-foot Women's Health Pavilion in November 2023.

What the judges said: "Unique use of the property and fills a void in the marketplace. Strategic location near shopping and transportation," wrote Robert Taylor, president of REMM International. Added Eileen Doody, principal of Avison Young, "Medical real estate impacts the community as a whole and provides a healing space for all who enter."

They made it happen: CBRE Senior Associate Daniel Nabavi, First Vice President John Scruggs, First Vice President Andy Nott and Associate Austin Kanzler were involved in the development.
