Hong Kong-based Langham Hospitality Group named Bob van den Oord as its new CEO effective Sept. 1.
Current CEO Brett Butcher will step down from his role while still retaining responsibilities within Great Eagle Holdings, Langham’s parent company, according to a news release. He will also be CEO of the Listed Langham Hospitality Investment.
Van den Oord has worked as a senior business leader at Langham for the past 20 years. He’s currently the regional vice president for Europe, Middle East and North America. Prior to this, he served as chief operating officer and senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Great Eagle Chairman and Managing Director K.S. Lo said in the release that the incoming CEO is a dynamic business leader with an excellent record of delivering results.

Langham Hospitality is a global hotel company with a portfolio of more than 30 properties operating under its Langham Hotels and Resorts, Cordis Hotels, Eaton and Ying'nFlo brands. The company takes its name from its flagship hotel, the Langham, London, which opened in 1865.
