Strong demand has helped push multifamily rents both in Houston's suburban and urban areas. In fact, 10 of the region's 34 markets are posting rent gains in the double digits, with most of these top performers located in the suburbs. And five of the top-performing markets have all, not coincidentally, been major recipients of population growth over the past several years.
