Sharp Decline in Construction Comes Even As Vacancies Reach Historic Lows

Construction levels for new industrial property continued to decline in Hartford, Connecticut, in the second quarter amid a recent dry spell in new groundbreakings. Over the past four quarters, only 812,000 square feet of new industrial space began construction in the metropolitan area, an average of just 203,000 square feet per quarter over the past year.
