For the second year in a row, fourth-quarter transaction volume for commercial property sales failed to produce a typical year-end surge in 2023. The closing three months of the calendar serve as a guidepost to the overall health of the industry, as any weakness at the closing bell tends to happen toward the end of the real estate cycle.
