Knight Frank has appointed Stephen Clifton to the newly created role of UK Managing Partner.

Knight Frank said its network across 50 territories, 740 offices and 27,000 people drives large volumes of enquiries towards the UK business, and with increasing appetite for the UK as markets recover the role will help improve co-ordination of that interest.

Clifton will step up from his role as Knight Frank Head of Commercial, which he has held since 2018 after previous roles as Head of City Investment and Head of Central London Offices. He will continue to sit on Knight Frank’s Group Executive Board and will join the Global Strategy Board.

Tim Robinson, now Head of Commercial Consultancy, will take over as Knight Frank Head of Commercial, with Clifton and Robinson’s promotions effective from 1 April 2025.

Robinson has spent 30 years at Knight Frank and has been Head of West End Offices for 10 years, Head of Property Asset Management and Head of Commercial Consultancy.

William Beardmore-Gray, Knight Frank senior partner and group chair, said in a statement: “Stephen’s extensive experience, collaborative leadership style and passion for Knight Frank means he is exceptionally well suited to the role of our first UK managing partner.

“Tim Robinson is an outstanding operator and leader with a breadth of experience in both transactional and consultancy roles. He will be an exceptional successor to Stephen Clifton.”
