Kidder Mathews expands valuation services with new hire

Daniel Boring joined Kidder Mathews as a senior vice president to help the Seattle-based brokerage expand its nationwide valuation advisory services. The company said Boring will lead Kidder’s new service line for machinery and equipment appraisals and also serve clients in his litigation, agricultural and marine valuation practice.

Prior to Kidder Mathews, he served as CEO of valuation and consulting at brokerage Lee & Associates, followed by nearly a decade with CBRE. The 30-year industry veteran has worked with multinational corporations, real estate investment trusts, national lenders and law firms. He has done valuation work for agricultural operations, renewable energy and port infrastructure projects. 

RKW Residential looks to broaden Southeast footprint

Multifamily property management firm RKW Residential announced several executive promotions and hirings as part of expansion plans across the Southeast, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said. Stephanie Garris, a 25-year industry veteran, was named regional vice president, overseeing a portfolio of properties across the Carolinas. The company named 10-year veteran Misty Haskins as area vice president for the Carolinas.

RKW also added Jennifer Trapaso, with more than 20 years of industry experience, as a regional manager in North Carolina. In Florida, the company promoted Austin Carter-Tabraue to senior regional manager and hired Ernesto Perez Capiro as a regional manager. In Georgia, RKW hired Sean Chalpan as regional manager in response to growing demand in the Atlanta region. 

Stream targets Houston business with executive promotion

Stream Realty Partners promoted Matt Asvestas to managing director of office leasing in Houston. He will also oversee training programs and business development, the brokerage said. Asvestas began his career at Stream in 2016 as an analyst and has since handled more than 760 lease transactions totaling more than 4.2 million square feet.

Dallas-based Stream has expanded its services and workforce in several U.S. cities in the past year.

Newmark grows finance operations in Washington, DC

Newmark has hired Andrew Asbill as a managing director in its Washington, D.C., office. In his new role, Asbill will work with the debt and structured finance team led by Vice Chairman Joe Donato, the brokerage said. Asbill has 25 years of industry experience, having put together finance transactions across multiple property types. He joined Newmark from Transwestern and previously worked at JLL.

During his career, Asbill has handled more than $10 billion in transactions, including several high-profile projects in the D.C. area. These include arranging a $220 million joint-venture equity placement and construction financing for the Tysons Central office project and the $506 million sale of the America’s Square office building.

Hiffman taps director to expand office property management

Hiffman National appointed Gannon O’Brien as director of property management services as the company looks to expand its portfolio of office properties under management in downtown and suburban Chicago. The Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois-based division of real estate services firm NAI Hiffman said O’Brien will also oversee planned expansion in Houston, Dallas, Indianapolis and other cities across Kansas, Missouri, Ohio, North Carolina and Florida.

O’Brien has more than 10 years of office property management experience. He has worked on capital improvements, lease administration, financial reporting and related functions for more than 5 million square feet of properties. He most recently was at Stream Realty Partners, where he served office and mixed-use property clients in the Chicago area. O'Brien also held positions at Zeller and MB Real Estate.
