Solar panel manufacturer Solarlink took action to expand its business by leasing 356,820 square feet at landlord Link Logistics' property in North Las Vegas, in one of the largest industrial lease transactions of the past year in the Las Vegas region. Solarlink is looking to make the fast-growing suburban area a key hub for manufacturing clean energy products.

For its potential to create new jobs and spur development in solar power and related industries tied to sustainability, the transaction was selected by a panel of local judges to receive a CoStar Impact Award for lease of the year in Las Vegas.

About the Project: Solarlink leased space for an expansion at 715 E. Cheyenne Ave., a building within the Desert Palms Logistics Center in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The company has announced plans to invest in additional facilities in the Las Vegas region, aided by incentives arranged with local agencies including the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance.

What the Judges Said: "It's a game changer for the city's industry and economy, kicking off a new era of green and innovative businesses," said Deshone Brunswick, marketing director at SVN The Equity Group. "Bringing in manufacturing jobs, especially those involving green energy that don't impact water usage, is huge for Southern Nevada," said Terence Farr, president of Farr Valuation.

"I love that this deal brings manufacturing to our city andhigh-payingg jobs," said Kim Henry, director of Keller Williams Realty The Marketplace.

They Made It Happen: Jenni Li of Logic Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant. Jason Simon and Rob Lujan of JLL represented the landlord.
