Hospitality Investors Trust, a publicly registered, nontraded real estate investment trust that owns 100 hotels with 12,421 rooms, has commenced a prepackaged Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization to restructure a debt load of 1.31 billion U.S. dollars.
