NYC Unemployment Jumps to Highest Level in 50 Years

Private sector jobs in New York City fell by almost 900,000, or 21.8%, in April, according to the latest numbers by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, or BLS, ranking as the city's largest single-month drop and bringing unemployment to the highest since September 2010.
