Quebec produces a wide array of goods, and its largest city, Montreal, has a diversified manufacturing base across numerous sectors. Nearly 75% of Quebec exports are shipped to the U.S., and the province produces 90% of Canada’s aluminum, equivalent to 4.4% of all global production. Consequently, the recent U.S.-Canada trade dispute poses direct risks to the provincial economy and its real estate markets. While no city will be unaffected by the trade dispute, Quebec City appears likely to suffer less than other areas.
