"Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In” and talk show legend Johnny Carson used “beautiful downtown Burbank” as a signature line in the 1960s and '70s to poke fun at California's San Fernando Valley city, suggesting it paled in comparison to glitzier Los Angeles areas like Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Now, demand for the once-quiet city has turned it into one of the state's tightest office markets.
