Informa, the publisher and events management business, has appointed JLL to conduct a feasibility study for an up to 150,000-square-foot London office, CoStar News understands.
Market sources this week said JLL has been appointed on the move ahead of a lease break in 2029 at its headquarters at Al Gurg's 240 Blackfriars, a building where it may decide to remain.
Office occupiers are seeking advice on their options further and further ahead of lease events, given the increasingly dwindling supply of Grade A highly sustainable offices able to accommodate large requirements in central London.
Earlier this week CoStar News revealed that Malaysia's IJM has signed secured international law firm Simmons & Simmons for a 180,000-square-foot letting at 25 Finsbury Circus five years ahead of its proposed relocation.
One developer-investor that will no doubt be happy to talk to Informa is Hines and National Pension Service of Korea, which is pursuing an £1 billion office-led development nearby at 18 Blackfriars Road.
Informa is a British publishing, business intelligence and exhibitions group. Al Gurg bought 240 Blackfriars in 2018 for £266.5 million.
JLL declined to comment.
