The San Antonio-New Braunfels metropolitan statistical area grew 1.4% last year, according to recently released population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau. Greater San Antonio was the third fastest growing of the 35 largest markets in the United States. These 35 markets all contain 2 million residents or more within the boundaries of their MSA, a threshold that now includes the high-growth market of Nashville, Tennessee.
