An industrial property near St. Louis has sold to one of the metropolitan area’s largest minority-owned businesses.
TW Constructors acquired 4500 Earth City Expressway in Earth City, Missouri, last year. The company, which specializes in construction management, labels itself as the second-biggest minority-owned business enterprise, or MBE, in the St. Louis area.
The sale earned a 2025 CoStar Impact Award, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market, for sale/acquisition of the year for St. Louis.
"The sale of Hummert International's facility in Earth City to TW Constructors, the second-largest MBE in the St. Louis Metro, is more than just a business transaction — it’s a win for the entire region," said Alex Zvibleman, associate adviser at SVN | Infinity Commercial Group. "It empowers a growing company to reach new heights, driving progress that extends far beyond the Earth City Industrial Park, strengthening St. Louis as a whole."
About the project: The seller of the 78,000-square-foot property was Hummert International, a company that handles horticulture products and equipment. The sale price was $5.1 million, according to CoStar data.
What the judges said: "Appreciate their ranking as an MBE in the region," said Scott Drachnik, president & CEO of the Economic Development Council of St. Charles County, Missouri.
They made it happen: Gundaker Commercial Group’s Jim Alexander served as the listing broker, and CBRE’s Brian Bush served as the buyer broker.
