With the pending sale of the Rockefeller Building, developers are expected to continue the trend in downtown Cleveland of converting office space into apartments. Completed in 1905 by Standard Oil Co. founder and Cleveland native John D. Rockefeller and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 17-story property is expected to trade hands for $13.4 million, according to local reports.
