STR’s preliminary April 2021 data for London hotels shows slightly better performance compared with recent months, albeit at overall low levels.
- Occupancy: 28.6%
- Average daily rate (ADR): GBP67.13
- Revenue per available room (RevPAR): GBP19.23
The absolute occupancy level was the highest for any month in London since October 2020, while the ADR and RevPAR levels were the highest since December 2020. Occupancy-on-the-books data for the market shows weekend peaks after May 17 — the day hotels can reopen. Further U.K. insights can be found here.
Year-over-year percentage changes will turn positive in the coming months due to comparison with the earliest pandemic-affected months from last year.
