LONDON, 4 July 2019--GLH Hotels Management (UK) Ltd announces that Neil Gallagher has resigned as Chief Executive Officer of glh Hotels.
Neil Gallagher will step down effective 5 August. He will be replaced by Alan Morgan, who brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality and leisure sector. A transition period is planned to ensure a smooth handover.
Neil Gallagher said “I am very proud to have been a part of the glh family for five years, overseeing the significant growth that we have achieved year on year. It is an exciting moment for glh hotels and for the hospitality sector, and it feels like the right time for someone else to lead the company into the next phase of our business development.”
Neil was with the company for five years, serving as the Chief Financial Officer, before being promoted to CEO in 2016. During his tenure, he oversaw the development and opening of the Hard Rock Hotel London, as well the opening of premium hotel restaurants “The Soak” at The Grosvenor Hotel and “Vicinity” at The Tower Hotel.
Alan brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality and leisure sector having held senior roles with Whitbread, Punch Taverns, Spirit Pub Company and most recently was Retail Managing Director at Rank Group, part of the Hong Leong family. Alan said “I am excited to join the fantastic, hard-working team at glh hotels. The organisation is primed for growth and I look forward to leading the company through new ventures. I wish Neil success in the future, and thank him for his years of service at glh.”
