The coronavirus pandemic has brought yet another long-standing retailer to seek court protection from creditors. This time it is Sur La Table, the Seattle-based seller of gourmet cooking classes and upscale kitchen goods, that is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and has a preliminary plan to liquidate and close a portion of its stores across the country.
