The stage is nearly set for Mutual of Omaha to build a $600 million office tower as the insurance giant relocates its headquarters to downtown Omaha. The skyscraper, dubbed "Project Beacon" by its developer, would be similar in height to Nebraska's tallest building, the 45-story First National Bank Tower built in the early 2000s.
