Christopher Alexander plans to step down from his role as president of Re/Max Canada, the country's largest network of real estate agents.

Alexander, who has served as president since July 2021, will continue in his role until March 3 and consult through June 30, the company said.

He will remain a brokerage owner in Ontario and be a consultant to the Re/Max Europe region, Re/Max Canada said.

"It has been the greatest honour of my career to lead this organization in Canada," Alexander said in a statement.

Following Alexander's departure, Erik Carlson, CEO of Re/Max Holdings, will oversee regional operations until a new head of Canada is named.

"Thanks in large part to Christopher's efforts, RE/MAX continues to maintain its No. 1 market share in residential transaction sides and has grown its agent count to an all-time high in Canada," Carlson said in a statement.

Re/Max LLC is a subsidiary of Re/Max Holdings listed on the New York Stock Exchange and has more than 140,000 agents in nearly 9,000 offices and a presence in more than 110 countries and territories.

The Canadian brand has a network of 25,000 agents and contains Re/Max of Western Canada, Re/Max Ontario-Atlantic Canada and Re/Max Promotions. They are all Re/Max LLC affiliates.
