Architecture firm Perkins & Will inaugurated its new Los Angeles studio with an event attended by more than 250 clients, colleagues and consultants.
The firm's new space is located at 646 N. Spring St. in the heart of Los Angeles' Chinatown district. During the event, Sissy Trinh of the Southeast Asian Community Alliance welcomed Perkins & Will to the neighborhood. She also highlighted the firm's partnership in the pursuit of new affordable housing in Chinatown.
The firm's Los Angeles managing director, Richard Marshall, discussed "the evolving nature of community and our embrace of hybrid work," Perkins & Will said in a post on its website.
Also at the event, Audrey Peterson, director of real estate development at Holos Communities, discussed "the challenges of developing affordable housing and our work on Corazón Del Valle, expressing a vision for reducing economic inequality through indistinguishable affordable and luxury housing," according to Perkins & Will.
