San Jose Multifamily Rents Catch Up With Those in San Francisco

The average rent cost for an apartment in San Jose, California, is now equal to that in neighboring San Francisco. Strong growth in the first half of 2024 pushed the average rent across the Silicon Valley market to $3,050 monthly, according to CoStar data, a 4.5% increase since the beginning of the year.
