Fundamentals in Basingstoke & Deane have strengthened markedly of late. Around 315,000 sq ft of net absorption recorded in the 12 months to April, a cyclical high. This followed a weak five-year period when an exodus of major tenants from the submarket including, SSE, Motorola, Barclays, Thales and Shire, which pushed vacancies well into double digits.
