Accor’s Delano Brand To Debut in Dubai
Accor division Ennismore is to bring to Dubai its Delano brand in a deal with Dubai Holding. It will be the brand’s United Arab Emirates debut and will join Ennismore’s Banyan Tree Dubai hotel, which opened at the end of 2023 in the city’s Bluewaters Dubai district. The Delano Dubai will have 251 rooms and open by the end of this year.
Anantara Stars For Minor in Zanzibar
Minor Hotels has signed a deal with Dubai-based Infinity Developments to open the Anantara Zanzibar Resort on the Tanzanian island. Due to debut in 2027, the hotel will have 181 rooms.
Château de Théoule Opens in Former Soap Factory
French owner Millésime Collection has opened the 44-room Château de Théoule, its first project on the French Riviera, which comes with a private beach and boat slip. Its building is a former soap factory dating to 1630.
Accor Debuts Mövenpick Brand in Poland With Two Hotels
Accor brand Mövenpick is to debut in Poland with two hotels due to open later this year, the 130-room Mövenpick Resort & Spa Karpacz and 179-room Mövenpick Wrocław in a building that is more than 100 years old.
Canary Islands Hotel Changes Spanish Owners
Spanish owners Grupo Fuertes and Satocan have acquired for an undisclosed sum the 125-room Hotel Tenerife Golf & Sea View in the town of San Miguel de Abona on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. The seller reportedly is Madrid-based Vincci Hotels.
Scandic and SRV to Open Oulu Hotel
Swedish firm Scandic Hotels Group has signed a long-term lease agreement with developer SRV for the 144-room Scandic Go in Oulu, Finland. When it opens in the second half of 2025, Scandic will have three hotels and 565 rooms in Oulu.
Mondrian To Come to Bucharest
Accor lifestyle division Ennismore signed a deal with developer One United Properties to open the Mondrian Bucharest in the capital of Romania. To have approximately 100 rooms, the hotel has no confirmed opening date.
IHG Expands Saudi Partnership
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with the King Abdullah Financial District Management & Development Company for two hotels in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Regent Riyadh King Abdullah Financial District and InterContinental Riyadh King Abdullah Financial District, both to open in January 2027 and have 250 rooms, will be the second and third hotels in the partnership. Already announced is the Middle East’s first Kimpton-branded hotel, the Kimpton at King Abdullah Financial District, which is due to open by the end of this year.
Accor Signs Mozart Prague
Accor has signed a deal with owner Courbet to manage the 17th-century Mozart Prague, which sits beside the Charles Bridge on the banks of the Vltava River in the capital of the Czech Republic. It will be initially run with Accor assuming the role of a white-label hotel firm, but after it has been renovated, it will be the Sofitel Legend The Mozart Prague.
France’s B&B Makes UK Debut With Heathrow Hotel
French budget hotel brand B&B Hotels plans to enter the British market with a hotel at Heathrow Airport. The deal is with owner Arora Group, whose other hotels include the InterContinental London 02 Arena, which will be a conversion of the Arora Park Hotel, originally hosting British Airways crew but then being converted into a general hotel.
