Birmingham, Alabama-based Highline Hospitality Partners, the hospitality investment platform of Highline Real Estate Partners, acquired the 510-room Hilton Atlanta Airport for an undisclosed price.
According to CoStar data, Wheelock Street Capital was the previous owner of the hotel. Wheelock acquired the property from Park Hotels & Resorts in 2019 for $101 million.
This is Highline Hospitality's second property in Atlanta, joining the Sheraton Suites Galleria-Atlanta. The company opted to keep HEI Hotels & Resorts onboard as the Hilton Atlanta Airport's operator.
“We are excited to add the Hilton Atlanta Airport to our portfolio and to partner with HEI Hotels & Resorts on this venture,” Chuck Pomerantz, managing partner at Highline Hospitality Partners, said in a news release. “This acquisition marks a pivotal milestone for Highline Hospitality Partners and further diversifies our portfolio as we continue to expand our presence in key markets across the nation.”
The property is adjacent to the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta and has 40,000 square feet of meeting space, a grab-and-go market, full-service restaurant, two pools, a modern fitness center and a complimentary airport shuttle service. It was previously renovated in 2012, according to CoStar data.
Highline Hospitality now has a portfolio of 15 hotels with more than 4,100 guestrooms. Its portfolio now exceeds $1 billion in hospitality assets under management.
