Ottawa’s capital markets proved resilient last year, with three out of the four property sectors showing increased sales volumes. Yet sales volumes have started out slowly in 2025. Investor sentiment appears affected by U.S.-Canada trade tensions coupled with the possibility that the country’s public sector may not grow as fast as it has in recent years, which would weigh on the city’s economic growth and space market demand prospects.
