Hoteliers met in Panama City in March to discuss the state of recovery of hotel markets in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Executives said that hotel brands in the region have switched back to growth mode, a move made out of necessity as much as the overall health of the travel industry.
Officials with hotel brand companies have stepped up their development goals in Latin America and the Caribbean as travelers return and are willing to pay higher rates.
