Construction on New Stores Has All but Stopped in Northwest Arkansas

Spurred on by a rapidly growing population and employment base in Northwest Arkansas, retailers have been eager to chase new rooftops and expand into this market for several years. However, construction of new retail space has all but stopped as the pressure from economic uncertainty and heightened borrowing costs have continued to hamper new projects from breaking ground.
