Rockbridge Holdings has appointed Mike Deitemeyer to serve in several executive roles and lead its luxury lifestyle development efforts.
In his new roles, Deitemeyer will serve as executive vice president of Columbus, Ohio-based Rockbridge Holdings and president of its development company, according to a news release. He will also lead its strategic affiliates, starting with Rockbridge’s latest acquisition: ZaZa Hotels and Resorts. Rockbridge is a hotel owner, developer and operator.
Deitemeyer previously served as the president and CEO of Aimbridge Hospitality, the world’s largest third-party operator. He left Aimbridge at the end of 2023 after serving in the role for about two years.
"When I think about people in the space that are innovative and like-minded, Rockbridge was a natural fit,” Deitemeyer said in the release.
Rockbridge CEO and co-founder Jimmy Merkel said, "Mike and I have been close for a long time, so we have a real trust, shared vision and mutual respect. I couldn't be more optimistic."
Prior to leading Aimbridge, Deitemeyer served as the company’s global president following Aimbridge’s 2019 acquisition of Interstate Hotels & Resorts, where he served as president and CEO. Earlier in his career, he worked for Omni Hotels & Resorts in several roles, including as president and CEO.
