Hilton has debuted its legacy Hilton brand in Lille, France, with the 124-room Hilton Lille. It is a reflagging of the Hôtel Lille Euralille, which formerly was affiliated with IHG Hotels & Resorts.
Bahrain Harbour Development To Include Kempinski Hotel
Swiss hotel firm Kempinski by the end of 2025 will welcome guests to its Kempinski Bahrain Harbour in the Middle East island-nation of Bahrain’s capital Manama. In partnership with owner Infracorp, the hotel will have 74 rooms but also 186 branded residences.
ADQ and ADNEC Acquire 40.5% of Egypt’s ICON
The Abu Dhabi-based owner ADQ and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company have acquired 40.5% of Egyptian firm Talaat Moustafa Group Holding’s hospitality division, ICON Group. The deal includes a stake in seven heritage-style luxury hotels in Egypt owned by the Egyptian Government through ICON. The two entities also will invest in a special purpose vehicle for the portfolio, 49% owned by ADQ and 51% owned by ADNEC. ICON’s hotels include Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza, Kempinski Nile Hotel Cairo and Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh.
Hyatt Debuts Park Hyatt In Morocco
Hyatt Hotels Corporation opened just after Christmas the Park Hyatt Marrakech, the brand’s debut in Morocco. The hotel’s 130 rooms are scattered in 16 pavilions surrounding a central patio.
St. Regis Opens First Island Resort As Part of Red Sea Global
Marriott International brand St. Regis Hotels & Resorts opened on Feb. 2 the first island resort part of Saudi Arabian giga-project Red Sea Global. On the island of Ummahat, the St. Regis Red Sea Resort will have 90 rooms, all beachfront or overwater villas.
Radisson New Build Comes to Budapest
Radisson Hotel Group has opened the 198-room Radisson Hotel Budapest BudaPart, the firm’s fourth hotel in the Hungarian capital.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts opened the 178-room Dolce by Wyndham Versailles-Domaine du Montcel, which features 14 acres of gardens in the town of Jouy-en-Josas just south of Versailles and southwest of Paris.

The Dorchester Collection opened its first Middle Eastern hotel on Feb. 1 with the 225-room The Lana, Dubai. In April, the hotel will debut another first, the United Arab Emirates’ first Dior Spa.
Hilton To Open Portuguese Trio
Hilton is to open three hotels in Portugal’s capital Lisbon in a management agreement with Feuring Asset Management GmbH. The properties will be the 75-room Duo Hotel Lisbon, Curio Collection by Hilton, to open this spring; 157-room Hampton by Hilton Lisbon Baixa, to open in 2025; and 84-room Canopy by Hilton Lisbon Praça Sao Paulo, to open in 2026.
Scandic Takes Over Pandox Nuremburg Hotel
Swedish hotel firm Scandic Hotels Group has signed a lease agreement with Scandinavian owner-operator landlord Pandox AB to take over a 311-room hotel in Nuremberg, Germany, that has been renamed the Scandic Nürnberg Central. It debuted on Feb. 2.
Zafiro Acquires 128-Key Mallorca Hotel
Mallorca, Spain-based Zafiro Hotels has acquired the 128-room Alzinar Mar Suites Hotel in Can Picafort, Mallorca, from EIX Hotels and will rename it the Zafiro Alzinar Mar. This is the 14th hotel for the firm and will remain an adults-only property.
IHG To Bring Kimpton to The Algarve
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise with Highgate Portugal to bring its Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand to the Algarve, Portugal, town of São Rafael, just west of Albufeira. The Kimpton Algarve São Rafael Atlántico is to have 149 rooms and and open in 2025.
