Tony Mendes, the managing director and entrepreneur behind the UK’s largest used-car sales business Cargiant and the largest private sector landowner in London’s £5bn Old Oak Common project, has launched an extraordinary attack on the agency leading the regeneration, calling for an immediate pause in spending on the project which it has renamed "Old Oak Cock Up” and termed a "scandalous waste of public money".
