Global construction firm Skanska, one of the most active builders in Oregon and Washington, has promoted a 24-year company veteran to lead the company's expanding business in Oregon and Washington.

The Stockholm, Sweden-based company with a U.S. headquarters in New York City named Trevor Wyckoff, who started as an intern in Skanska's Portland, Oregon, office in 1998, executive vice president and general manager of the builder's statewide operations in Oregon and southwest Washington, an area that includes Portland.

Wyckoff is tasked with expanding the company's growth in Oregon and fast-growing Vancouver, Washington, part of Portland's commercial property market.

Skanska's local projects include the new terminal that is part of a $2 billion expansion of Portland International Airport, as well as a $650 million project to expand Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in Portland.

Further north in the Seattle area, Skanska developed The Eight, a 25-story office tower in downtown Bellevue, that finished construction this year. The company in January inked one of the Seattle region's biggest office leases of the past few years, where Japanese media franchise Pokémon Co. International is moving into 16 floors at The Eight.

Wyckoff, a Portland native whose most recent role with Skanska was senior vice president and account manager in the region, has also managed projects in Arizona, California and Washington. He's held internal roles at Skanska that include serving on the company's healthcare advisory and national operations leadership councils.

He graduated with a bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University.
