Odessa Pumps and Equipment found a home in Kingpin Industrial Park in Corpus Christi, Texas, proving the value of high-quality industrial space.
Kingpin's buildings range from speculative layouts to site-specific, build-to-suit units with fenced concrete yards.
Odessa Pumps, which manufactures water and wastewater pumps for oil and gas, municipal and water/wastewater applications, has locations throughout Texas, plus one each in Oklahoma and New Mexico. The company signed a 10-year lease at Kingpin Industrial Park for its Corpus Christi location.
The project was selected as the winner of the 2024 CoStar Impact Award for lease of the year for Corpus Christi, as judged by a local team of real estate professionals familiar with the market.
About the Deal: Odessa Pumps signed a lease in May to fill the 14,940-square-foot warehouse that opened last year as part of Kingpin Industrial Park. It is located just off North Padre Island Drive with access to Interstate 37 and Highway 44.
What the Judges Said: "Finding the right facility for an industrial tenant can prove difficult in our market, but this shows that with determination it can be achieved. This lease shows that a large company with a smaller footprint in Corpus Christi saw the continued opportunity and overall stability of the oil and gas, refining, and general industry in Corpus Christi," said one judge.
They Made it Happen: Josh Gaines of the Gaines Organization represented ownership in the lease.
