A Dallas-based healthcare provider recommitted to Roanoke, Virginia, in one of the market’s largest leases of the third quarter — and a vote of confidence from a popular tenant type.
CCS Medical delivers supplies for patients with chronic conditions, specifically diabetes. The company decided to stay at the Valley Court commercial center located at 3610-3645 Thirlane Road NW through 2030.
The deal, brokered by Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group, has been selected by a panel of local industry professionals as the winner of the 2024 CoStar Impact Award for lease of the year for Roanoke.
Investors view medical properties as a low-risk hedge against times of economic instability. Because they’re specialized and expensively built out, they are seen as being at low risk of losing their tenants.
CCS Medical’s space is about 22,000 square feet.
About the Deal: Valley Court is located near several hotels between Roanoke Regional Airport and Valley View Mall.
They Made it Happen: Stephen Pendergrass, vice president, Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group; Bryan Musselwhite, senior vice president, Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group.
