Kesa sells Comet for £2

Loss-making retailer Comet has been sold for just £2 after its owners decided to pull out of the difficult electricals market in the UK.

In the same week that US electricals retailer Best Buy announced it was exiting the UK market, Comet owner Kesa Electricals has agreed to sell the brand and its 250 stores to investment firm OpCapita, for the nominal amount.
