The New York Red Bulls soccer team has offered details on the large training complex it's planning for the former site of Honeywell International's headquarters in Morris Township, New Jersey, with Gensler serving as the project's architect.
The Bulls, who are part of the Major League Soccer organization, on Monday said San Francisco-based Gensler will serve as the lead architectural designer for its training complex, which is slated for an 80-acre parcel located on Honeywell's former site off of Columbia Road, within 1 mile of the Route 24 interchange with County Road 510.
The team also provided details and renderings of the redevelopment, which will feature eight soccer pitches. Along with the First Team and Red Bulls II, the complex will also be home to the New York Red Bulls Academy and youth training programs, North America’s youth soccer development system. The Red Bulls play their home matches at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

"Gensler will provide world-class architectural planning expertise as we partner to build the premier training complex in all of Major League Soccer," Marc de Grandpré, Red Bulls' general manager, said in a statement. "Our shared vision for this facility is something that our entire organization, along with the Morris Township community, will be extremely proud of for many years to come."
The Red Bulls, three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners, are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull, for which the team is named.
“The core design concept for the training complex focuses on the performance, health and well being of the athletes, coaches and staff,” Jonathan Emmett, Gensler principal and design director, said in a statement about the training facility.
