Montagu Evans has appointed lease advisory specialist Amy Bracey as partner in its industrial and logistics team.
Previously a director in the business space lease advisory team at Colliers, Bracey has particular expertise in the industrial and logistics sector and 14 years’ experience in the industry.
She will join the national multilet industrial and trade sub-team, working with partner Steve McDonald to run what Montagu Evans said is the largest retained instruction base for lease advisory in the country. It acts for institutional landlords on 200 trade parks nationally and has instructions in most cities and towns.
Montagu Evans’ 30-strong industrial and logistics team advises landlords, funders, developers and occupiers with services including capital markets, agency, development and lease advisory to planning, heritage and townscape, valuation and rating. It is particularly focused on London and the M25 including last mile, multilet industrial, mid-box, trade counters, self-storage and data centres.
Its lease advisory team focuses on two areas – national multilet industrial and trade and London and M25 mid to large boxes – as well as providing general industrial services.
Bracey will focus on securing instructions, particularly with the partnership’s clients in other areas and in her home patch of the South West.
She also works at APC Success with RICS, where she trains graduates preparing for the Assessment of Professional Competence to achieve chartered status, as well as serving as an APC assessor and chair.
The appointment follows strategic occupier specialist Kieran Webber joining the business as partner in November 2024 and is part of the wider growth of the industrial and logistics team. Other areas of focus are resi/living markets, London planning and public sector advisory, in addition to industrial & logistics.
Steve McDonald, partner at Montagu Evans, said in a statement: “This is a further strategic appointment for the partnership as we put in place ambitious growth plans, supported by a strong team of specialists at all levels.
“It has been a rare opportunity to recruit such an experienced candidate at the top of the trade market, who also perfectly fits our firm-wide ethos of growing organically long-term via the next generation of talent with the ready-made qualities of an APC assessor, chair, mentor and teacher. Amy is a very welcome addition to the business.
Bracey said: “Having known the firm, and having had the chance to see its team at work first-hand through my APC role, this step to Partner is a natural progression. It is an exciting time to join the business – the I&L team is already very well-respected in the market and its lease advisory team is second to none in this area.”
