Sara Parker-Wallace has joined EQ Office, the owner of high-profile properties around the country, to lead its southeastern U.S. region from Atlanta.
EQ Office plucked Parker-Wallace from CIM Group, the Los Angeles-based company that’s developing the $5 billion Centennial Yards project in downtown Atlanta.
Parker-Wallace, who will have the title of senior vice president, will focus on the expansion of EQ Office in the markets of Atlanta; Nashville, Tennessee; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Raleigh, North Carolina.
“My experience investing over the years in the Southeast and relationships with local owners and brokers will help us deliver inspiring workplace environments to our tenants in this dynamic region,” she said in a statement.
In Atlanta, EQ Office owns the Anthem office tower complex, located in Midtown and occupied by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
EQ Office, a Chicago-based unit of Blackstone Group, also owns 3 Ravinia in Atlanta’s Central Perimeter market and, in Nashville, the downtown office tower Fifth Third Center.
Well-Known EQ Office Properties
The company owns Willis Tower, the 1,451-foot Chicago office building previously known as Sears Tower.
EQ Office's other properties include U.S. Bank Center in Seattle and the Playa District in Los Angeles.
Parker-Wallace, who earned her undergraduate degree from Williams College and her Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, worked for Exeter Property Group before joining CIM Group.
It's the latest strategic move by CEO Alex Vouvalides since joining EQ Office in May.
Vouvalides, a former Hudson Pacific Properties executive, signed a new lease in June with Dutch trading firm IMC for Willis Tower, Chicago's tallest skyscraper.
The company recently promoted Britton Derkac to a newly created role, national head of leasing, based in Boston.
