Mace/Mercer buy Selfridges' Glasgow Merchant City site

Selfridges has sold the Trongate site in Glasgow’s Merchant City which it had once earmarked for a first Scottish store to a joint venture between Mace’s investment arm and funds managed by Mercer Real Estates.

 Selfridges has sold the three-acre derelict site, which it bought 12 years ago for a circa £90m Selfridges department store scheme, to Mace/Mercer JV Candleriggs which is planning to lodge plans later this year for flats and shops.
