Financial institution First Bank has opened its new 87,000-square-foot headquarters near St. Louis, Missouri, just down the road from where the company said it began more than a century ago.
Construction of the new office building at 11901 Olive Blvd. in Creve Coeur, Missouri, was completed ahead of schedule and under budget, the development team said.
The successful development of the project earned a 2025 CoStar Impact Award, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market, for commercial development of the year for St. Louis.
“The first thing people will notice about the building is how beautiful it is inside and out thanks to the tremendous work of our design and construction partners,” First Bank Chairman Mike Dierberg said during the grand opening of the headquarters last year. “But as folks spend more time there, they will appreciate how the design prioritizes employee wellness and provides a workspace that encourages flexibility, comfort and collaboration to enable our team members to do their best work."
The new building features an innovation hub for employee meetings, social events, team lunches and project collaboration. It also includes outdoor workspaces, a fourth-floor patio and unassigned open office workspaces.
About the project: In the construction phase alone, the project created employment opportunities for more than 40 local subcontractors and helped foster economic growth within the community, the development team said.
What the judges said: "With this remarkable project, First Bank has reimagined the St. Louis Class A office market, creating an exceptional workspace that prioritizes its employees,” said Alex Zvibleman, an associate adviser with SVN | Infinity Commercial Group. “First Bank exclusively partnered with St. Louis-based clients and vendors for the entire project, reinforcing their dedication to strengthening the region’s economy,” he added.
They made it happen: Jason Gray of property owner First Bank worked on the project. Cobalt Construction Consulting’s team included Lauren Talley and Wes French. Brinkmann Constructors’ team was made up of Brian Satterthwaite, Jeremy Dotson, Mike Sheppard and Connor Mullen. Lamar Johnson Collaborative’s Ben Revelle and Mackenzie McCulloch worked on the project's design.
