At least two Bed Bath & Beyond stores in Atlanta and one in Charlotte, North Carolina, are set to be among the first to close amid its plans to shutter 156 stores across the country, a move that raises questions about the future of the larger, older shopping centers that were built in these markets prolifically prior to 2010 and had been a popular landing spot for the home goods retailer.
