Setting the Stage for ICSC RECon 2019

About 30,000 retail real estate dealmakers from across the country have descended upon Las Vegas for RECon 2019, the annual signature conference held by the International Council for Shopping Centers (ICSC). This year, the entire exposition takes nearly two hours to walk, according to ICSC. But setting up the more than 1,000 retail industry booths and displays comprising the conference is no easy task – and for two days the Las Vegas Convention Center resembles a miniature development site. CoStar News walked the floor, reported from the very first educational panels and attended the May 19 opening keynote address featuring football legend Tony Romo.
