WiredScore, a company that assesses and grades a building’s telecommunications and connectivity for reliability and speed, appointed a group of veterans to work with its North American leader to expand its business across the continent.
The New York City-based firm said it named Kyle Siegel as head of national business development and Eric Larsen as head of its accredited professionals program for North America. Siegel and Larsen are among 10 leaders hired recently by WiredScore.
In his new position, Siegel is charged with overseeing the day-to-day operations of WiredScore’s business development team and collaborating with regional leadership to accelerate its growth in target markets. He joined WiredScore from NavigatorCRE, where he held a position as senior director of business development.
In his new role, Larsen will work to fortify WiredScore's accredited professionals, or AP, program that launched in North America this year and operates across Europe and in the Asia-Pacific region. He previously worked Intelligent Buildings, where he served as director of client services.
“Siegel and Larsen will play tremendously integral roles in expanding WiredScore’s national footprint, in tandem with deepening our key involvement within the real estate and technology verticals,” Katie Klein, country director for North America, said in a statement. Klein joined WiredScore early this year from third-party app delivery service DoorDash.
WiredScore is beefing up its North American team after it completed a second round of funding this summer, raising more than $15 million from several investors including global brokerage Cushman & Wakefield and investment and development firm Crow Holdings. The company also is expanding globally.
Last week, WiredScore began operations in the Middle East, where it is working with major landlords including Brookfield Properties. Brookfield became the first landlord in the region to secure WiredScore's top certification, at ICD Brookfield Place, a 53-story mixed-use tower with 990,000 square feet of offices and 160,000 square feet of retail space in Dubai.
As WiredScore works to expand across North America, it also recently hired five others to lead regional business development activities. They are Dominic Schiavo for California, Sam Protzman for the Northeast, Bennett Gibson for the Southeast, Ricky Gonzalez for the Midwest; and Preston Meyer for the South, including Texas.
WiredScore has worked with landlords including Hines, Nuveen, Greystar, JP Morgan Chase and Tishman Speyer. Last year, it launched WiredScore Home for apartments and residences in North America with the National Multifamily Housing Council.
The company said it also has hired Anthony Liota as a senior solutions engineer, Rebecca Reel as smart building category lead and Paul Custodio as a building technology engineer.
