Solar power company PosiGen has moved its office and sales team into the Kongsberg Building in Saint Rose, Louisiana. The deal has earned it a CoStar Impact Award for Lease of the Year in the New Orleans market.
PosiGen's agent found the company 28,459 square feet of space that was in shell condition in the office building at 145 James Dr. E. in Saint Rose, a community about 16 miles west of the center of New Orleans. The company finished its buildout in late December 2022.
About the project: PosiGen has a seven-year lease for the office space with two options for five-year renewals at the three-story, 84,000-square-foot building.
What the judges said: "To perfect the lease, it was required to involve planning, construction and detailed scheduling. The lease also has a good initial term with options," said Mike Saucier, president of Gulf Real Estate Services.
They made it happen: Cameron Griffin and Mason McCullough, real estate agents at the McEnery Co.; Richard Juge, CEO of Re/Max Commercial Brokers in Metairie, Louisiana; and Charlie Mullin, senior vice president and associate broker at Re/Max Commercial Brokers in Metairie, Lousiana.
