The Co-op sells 300 food stores to McColl's for £117m

The Co-op Group has sold 298 of its smaller food stores as part of plans to focus on growing its convenience business.

The stores, which measure on average 1,700 sq ft, have been sold to rival newsagents and convenience store group McColl’s for £117m.
