J.C. Penney added another 15 stores to its planned closings list on top of the roughly 200 it was already closing, signaling that more retail space could be pouring onto the market as it negotiates with landlords in the wake of its operating arm getting bought through bankruptcy court by Simon Property Group and Brookfield Asset Management.
