Commercial real estate deal-maker Kenisha Robnett helped the Georgia chapter of the CCIM Institute celebrate its 50th anniversary by hosting a soiree in one of downtown Atlanta’s most distinctive historic office buildings.

Robnett got to handle the task in her position as the 50th Georgia chapter president of CCIM, which stands for Certified Commercial Investment Member. It was established in 1954 in California and provides training for investors, brokers, asset managers, developers and others involved in commercial real estate.

Robnett served as head of ceremonies for the CCIM party, held Sept. 4 at The Healey Building, a locally well-known structure built during the city's first skyscraper boom in the years before World War I. The group heard presentations from the chapter’s first president, James Ball Jr., and two other past presidents, Bill Adams of Adams Realtors and Jason Holland of Avison Young, Robnett said in a LinkedIn post.

An adviser at Greenwood CRE, a commercial real estate consulting firm and brokerage based in Atlanta, Robnett became a CCIM course instructor in 2019 and has also completed four advanced courses with the association. Her career includes stints as a broker for RE/MAX Commercial in Atlanta and as a real estate portfolio manager for Walmart.

"What a milestone we've accomplished, and what an occasion to celebrate the growth of the chapter, the growth of the institute as well as the industry," Robnett said in her post. "Cheers and here’s to 50 more!"
