The lights are dark at Houston’s biggest malls as four huge regional shopping centers join the list of malls closing across the country to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. The Galleria Mall, Katy Mills Mall, Houston Premium Outlets and Memorial City Mall have all announced temporary closures, impacting nearly 6 million square feet of retail space in the Houston area and millions of dollars in economic activity.
